When Planning Meets Serendipity

It’s been a while since I’ve written here on Medium.

The truth is, every once in a while, life gets a little hectic. There’s things to do, bills to pay, to-do-lists to add on to, agendas to plan, deadlines to meet, life changing moments to accept and be grateful for. (All good, by the way!)

Sometimes, it’s important to just take the time off and go with the flow. In my 47 years here on Earth, I’ve learnt that you can make plans, but sometimes plans make you. And no matter how much you want to control what happens while it is going on, there are moments when you just have to let go. Trust in the process and just keep going!

So here I am letting go…and yet, still making plans!

Yes, I am a self-confessed planner who gives space for serendipity to do its thing. That way, I know I’ve done my best with all that I’ve been given to by God, but I welcome spontaneous, unexpected moments too.

I do the same when I travel to a new country or city. I do the research, decide places I want to go to, but let the Universe show me Her itenerary too. It’s a guarentee that you’ll get lost, but you’ll probably find new favourite places and maybe even you self too.

So, it might take a little while before I write here but, I’ll be back!
