August has always been a special month for me, because it is the month of Malaysia’s Independence. Merdeka Day, as we call it happens on the 31 August.
This year, I “celebrated” 63 years of Independence by writing about Datuk Lily Lim, Chief Executive Officer of RJ Realty. As we continue battling the invisible enemy that is Covid-19, we had to do the interview via email. It was an interesting process, at it was the first time I had written an entire Cover Story from an email interview.
After five, six, seven edits, we finally got the thumbs up from the client, who is in Sarawak. As always, there was a sense of accomplishment in finishing up an entire magazine. I have to admit, my favourite part of the whole story is the Cover Story Title – When Dreams Become Realty.
