It’s been a while since I last blogged here, and the truth is, I’ve been pretty busy with life. Over the course of 2024, I’ve taken strides in developing my skills—professionally, personally, and spiritually. However, this journey comes with its challenges. I do have a lot on my plate. It’s a big plate with an extra special Nasi Lemak, one of my favourite Malaysian dishes.
The fragrant coconut milk rice symbolises my full-time Copywriter job, which occupies most of my time.
The spicy sambal represents my spiritual pursuit, as I continue to learn and grow in unexpected ways.
The thinly cut cucumber signifies my interactions with friends and family—just a little, but it adds a refreshing touch to my life.
The crispy, salty fried anchovies depict my mission to get healthy, involving a whole lot of sweat and effort.
The crunchy, roasted peanuts represent the bits of entertainment I indulge in, such as movies, reading, theatre, and music.
The fried egg stands for my creative writing endeavours, which have pleasantly surprised me.
And lastly, the fried chicken is the financial literacy workshop I’ve been attending—a tough learning experience, but a much-needed one.
Even though I haven’t been writing much here, I continue to write every day, in some form or another. And in the words of my favourite boy band, all grown up now…
In the words of my favourite teen boy band, New KIds On The Block, all grown up now…
Yeah, we had some trouble
Had to work a double
But that’s okay
Anyway
Now we got the dime
And all we have is time
Well, what do you say?
These are the better days.
For sure, these are the better days.
