She’s funny, a little nutty, she’s one-of-a-kind.

While I do know a few people that I admire and respect for their integrity, dedication and achievements in life, the one who inspires me does not exist.
She’s not a famous leader nor a superhero. She hasn’t changed the world with her talents and qualities. She is an ordinary woman who has made her best efforts to get through challenges at work, relationships, and family situations.
She is Bridget Jones, the protagonist of Bridget Jones’s Diary, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, Bridget Jones’s Baby and Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
Yes, she’s a bit of a mess. She’s super clumsy. She’s not great at public speaking. And boy does she need a filter sometimes! Still, this fictional lady with tons of character is one who inspires me because:
She doesn’t dwell on her imperfections, she embraces them.
She keeps moving forward in life despite setbacks and embarrassments.
She doesn’t have everything figured out, but she goes with the flow.
She knows how to laugh at herself.
She becomes more comfortable in her own skin as time passes.
She is a reminder that success isn’t always about having the best job, a good figure or the ideal life.
She’s always looking for ways to improve herself and her life.
She inspires me because she is an authentic work-in-progress.
Bridget Jones, you’re my inspiration.
And I like you very much, just as you are.
“One must not live one’s life through men but must be complete on oneself as a woman of substance.”
Bridget Jones
